Emma’s experience with domestic violence advocacy cultivated a true passion for working for the disenfranchised and ultimately led her to pursue a career in law. After traveling the world for work and education, Emma established her practice in the Twin Cities. Emma thrives on cultivating connections with her clients and helping them reach successful outcomes to the most challenging cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Emma clerked for the Honorable Carl J. Bauman and the Honorable Jennifer K. Wells in Kenai Superior Court, in Kenai, Alaska. A graduate of the University of Maine, Emma obtained a law degree from American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. While in law school, Emma worked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia in the felony major crime division and the NIC/WCL Project on Addressing Prison Rape. She has been published in the Mid-Atlantic Journal on Law and Policy and the Criminal Law Practitioner and has worked extensively in the area of domestic violence, and sexual violence in the incarcerated setting.
