Jacob A. Martin

Jacob A. Martin is an Associate with the firm of Skelton Taintor & Abbott in Lewiston, Maine, representing clients in the following areas:

Jacob graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Kinesiology and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law. While in law school, he served as Executive Editor of the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal (Volume 30) and was actively involved in the Student Bar Association, serving as 1L Representative, Treasurer, and Vice President. While a student at the University of Maine School of Law, Jacob also co-taught ESP-399: Environmental Law, Policy and Justice at the University of Southern Maine in the spring of 2025 with a fellow Maine Law graduate through the Environmental Law Teaching Program. Jacob was also a member of the Energy and Environmental Law Society and the Soccer Club.

His legal experience includes internships and externships with the South Carolina Environmental Law Project, Trout Unlimited-Sebago Chapter, and the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry’s Animal Welfare Program, where he contributed legal research, statutory review, and policy recommendations.

Jacob resides in Auburn Maine. In his free time, Jacob enjoys learning new thing and spending his time outdoors. In the spring and fall, he enjoys fly fishing at new locations as often as possible. When it is not snowing, Jacob enjoys solo hiking and wildlife watching. When he is not enjoying the outdoors, you may find him at local sporting events and restaurants.
