Skelton, Taintor & Abbott Expands Employment Law Practice

AUBURN, ME (January 2, 2013) – Skelton, Taintor & Abbott is pleased to announce that distinguished employment lawyer and litigator, Rebecca Webber, has joined the firm as a shareholder.

“We are very excited to continue to expand our employment law practice with Rebecca’s addition to our team,” said Bryan Dench, Chairman of Skelton, Taintor & Abbott. “Her vast experience representing clients in all aspects of employment law counseling, compliance and litigation will be beneficial to our corporate, health care, governmental and individual clients.

Rebecca brings two decades of experience to Skelton, Taintor & Abbott’s thriving employment law practice. She represents individuals, businesses and government agencies in employment law counseling, compliance, training and civil litigation. Rebecca previously practiced law with another Maine law firm, as well as a Boston firm. She handles employment claims in both state and federal court, before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other state and federal agencies and tribunals.

A native of Auburn, Maine, Rebecca received her B.A., cum laude, from Williams College, and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School. She is a member of the Maine State and Androscoggin County Bar Associations, the Maine Trial Lawyers’ Association, National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), Maine Employment Lawyers Association, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Central Maine Human Resources Association. She serves as co-chair of the Labor and Employment section of the Maine Bar Association.
