Category: Firm News

PORTLAND, Maine – Bryan M. Dench, chairman of the board of directors of the law firm of Skelton, Taintor & Abbott, recently spoke at the second annual labor and employment law conference of the Maine chapter of the Labor Employment Relations Association (LERA). The event was sponsored in part by the American Arbitration Association.

Dench, the current president of LERA’s Maine chapter and a management labor attorney for more than 37 years, spoke about “Witness Credibility in Arbitration,” focusing on case preparation and witnesses. He reviewed important points such as assembling documents, preparing to question and cross-examine witnesses and arbitration procedure.

“This was a great event in which we were able to share helpful information with professional colleagues from all labor/management perspectives,” Dench said. “The LERA organization is providing a valuable forum for labor and management advocates and neutral mediators and arbitrators to collaborate.”
